The week of February 28th, my birthday week, the Atlanta Hawks usually near my birthday always face off against the Lakers; unfortunately, this year, they play the Portland Trailblazers.

Always have been a massive fan of the Trailblazers with “Hurt Me Head Porter, Clyde the Glide Drexler, Kevin Rest in Heaven Duckworth, Pest Danny Ainge, and one of the best shooters in the league at that time died too soon the Croatian Sensation Drazen Petrovic.

The game started to slow down with pretty much a balanced attack between both teams. In the 2nd quarter, our Hawks started to distance theirselves from the Trailblazers, as John Collins was stoppable playing Center in this game ending the night with 24 points and ten rebounds,
Trae Young with another great night, with 25 points and 15 assists.

The player in my mind last night was the rookie out of Virginia De’Andre Hunter ending the night with 22 points and four boards his defense was great tonight he slowed down Melo he only had 12 points because of the coverage of Hunter. The Trailblazer that was killing us was CJ McCollum he was crazy that night, scoring 35 on our Hawks.

The only issue Trae has to work on this offseason is guarding the opposition point guard. In time he will learn that process.
The Hawks pretty much had a balanced attack with shooting, pick and roll, and great defensive along with John Collins, Trae Young, and De’Andre Hunter.

Kevin Huerter had a good shooting night finishing with 19 points. Hawks finish the night with season-high 34 assists to capture the win with Portland. The final score was 129 to 117, a great win for our Atlanta Hawks.

There was a little tension with Trevor Ariza and Trae Young. Trae tried to go through the legs of Ariza, and he really wasnt going for that and threw him a mean hockey check. Ariza received a flagrant 1 for that check, but after that, Trae received a technical for taunting after a made three.

Even after the game, those two hugged it out. Sometimes that’s how the game goes; it just love of the game that’s all—got to love both of them as fierce competitors.
