They have made it official Vinsanity is coming back to his historic 22 years in the league.

Vince Carter will pass Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Willis and Robert Parish, all whom played for 21 years in the NBA.

He signed for a one-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks. If he is playing in 2020 he will be playing in four straight decades in this league. The 42-year-old and former Tar Heel entered the league in 1998.

Vince Carter the fifth pick in the first round by the current NBA champions Toronto Raptors, he really put them on the map, people wanted to see Vinsanity up close and personal. I hate to say this but the best dunk I saw from Vince is the game he dunked on Dikembe Mutombo the after look from Vince was sick.

To me, Vince has no fear going to the hole even at 42. He is half man half amazing, the Atlanta Hawks will be his 8th and final team to end his spectacular NBA career.

He will be a mentor again to our young Hawks especially the new rookies De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish. In my personal opinion he should do a farewell tour because he was amazing to witness and his highlights with be around for generations.

That classic 2000 slam dunk contest is one of my and probably many other fans favorite contest of all times. Sad to see his career come to a end but happy he decided to do it with my Atlanta Hawks.
